Firstly...

...you should know that I like weird things. Odd knick-knacks, trinkets, things that you've never even seen or dreamt of.

I've been told that I'm by far the most eccentric member of my family. (Apart from a long-lost great uncle, who used to wear a dickie bow every day. He was regarded as a bit "peculiar"). Luckily, I'm married to someone who is quite eccentric too, so we get along famously. He puts up with my penchant for only singing ABBA songs in Spanish, owning thousands of balls of wool, and not cooking anything without chilli in it. And in return, I put up with his weird purchases. Thanks to him, we are now the proud owners of a vintage Dalek mask/helmet thing, plunger and all.

Anyway, I saw these today on a well-known bidding site (cough cough...eBay), and thought: "Hell yeah! I'm having those!".

Yes, they're little tattooed skulls, which are supposed to be worn as earrings on "Día de los Muertos" (Day of the Dead). OK, I'm not Spanish, nor Catholic, nor do I regard myself as being particularly religious, but they were too bloody cute to pass by.

Anyway, the moral of the story is: embrace your weirdness. If you embrace your weirdness, chances are that other people will too.
